Bold, vibrant and emotionally charged, the work of Artist 369 is an invitation to experience life in full colour. Her paintings transform memories, encounters and emotions into expressive compositions that celebrate what she calls the Joy of Life.

Behind Artist 369 is Nancy, whose life has been shaped by movement – across countries, cultures and, ultimately, within herself. From an early age, while growing up as a boy, she imagined becoming the woman she had always known herself to be. This lifelong vision nurtured her fearless creativity and ability to find beauty beyond convention.

Born in Eastern Europe and raised in the Netherlands, Nancy developed an awareness of different cultures, identities and perspectives that continues to influence her work. In her twenties, she founded the fashion label IBICIKID, developing a distinctive visual language of bold colour and expressive form.

Clients were as captivated by her fashion illustrations as by the collections themselves, often framing the sketches as artworks. Their response marked the beginning of Nancy’s evolution from fashion designer to visual artist. Her intuitive understanding of colour, texture and composition soon moved from clothing to canvas. It also informs her interest in interiors, architecture and the power of art to transform a space. 

Today, Nancy works under the name Artist 369, reflecting her strong connection to spirituality. In numerology, 3, 6 and 9 hold special significance and represent Nancy’s personal birth code. Inspired by Nikola Tesla’s fascination with these numbers, she adopted 369 as both an artistic identity and a philosophy connecting energy, creativity and life.

Artist 369 does not paint reality as it appears, but as she experiences it. A meaningful conversation, a life-changing event, a fleeting encounter or a personal memory can all inspire a painting. She distils their emotional essence into bold compositions, symbolic figures and expressive movement, inviting viewers to discover their own meanings.
